“What I am is what I am is what I am, I guess”

apologies to Suzanne Vega, I think.
So, we’re coming home soon. We’re in the home stretch, pun intended, and I think we have a rough plan to get us and our stuff back to Ottawa. I never imagined it would actually happen because I often thought I was operating in a vacuum out here with only lip service support on the phone from friends and family. Now it’s within reach.
In the interim my mom and I have to take Jack to Halifax for day surgery to explore his colon and upper GI . It should be riveting. He asked mom if she thought they’d find bubblegum in there because he apparently enjoys swallowing it. Would they be able to get it out he wondered? I’m leaning towards yes but that’s because he doesn’t understand the full extent of the cleansing he has to go through before we even get in the car to go to Halifax. In fact we’re thinking he may have to wear a grown up undergarment*wink wink* just to get him there in one piece because, if our experience in the hospital last fall is any indication, he has little or no warning that stuff is going to erupt when there is medication involved.
After we get back to town from this little jaunt we’re packing up the mom van with 2.5 kids and heading west. Whoohee baby!

Poor Jack. Let him be oblivious for now. I hate being proded in that region.
Good luck with your move. The stars have aligned.
Your apologies to Edie Brickell, too.

At least the .5 doesn’t take much room, right? Not yet.

Oh dear, he’ll be in the car? I’ve had to do that, with those meds…and oh my, the car will be an adventure I think. Bring multiple sets of clothes IMO.
